I just want to make another point about miss gretchen wilson...before you all criticize rap music let me remind you something. she is sending the same message in her music as 50 cent does...i mean she talks about drinking and driving, raising hell, and thinking about cheating on her man which is still wrong...so tell me what the difference is between rappers doing this and country music doing this or are you all raceist

Rap this rap that, rap is nothing but thugs talking about how they beat their ho's (women), nice title for your girlfriend. Country musicians are more down to earth people that "normal" folks can relate to.

Gretchen is hot, whether you like her or not. Riding that 4-wheeler, shew, just think if she went deer hunting also, that would be too much.

yeah buddy but gretchen talks about the same things rappers do and believe it or not there is a world outside the wise county borders and in case you have never ventured out of it theres plenty of people in cities that can relate to rap cause rappers sing about the same things that people in cities endure every day

How can you criticize her about "thinking about cheating" and say that is just as bad as cheating? 50 cent writes about going to the "candyshop"...

yeah but this isnt the city. this is the country and a higher percentage amount of people like country music so we can relate to the things they're singing about more than the things rappers sing about. im not dissing rap caz i admit i listen to it every once in a while just caz the rythem and beat, but their music would be so much better if they didnt have to use every 4 letter word in the book.

I like some Rap too but last I looked the thread wasn't started saying G Unit glorifies violence or such...it was a thread kind of attacking Gretchen Wilson.

Now granted, I'm not really a fan of her. Her songs are ok, but oh well. Now since this is an LPD forum, most of us are here, in the hills and hollars of Southwest Virginia, so most of us can relate a lot more to a pickup truck, a cooler, sitting out on a porch, etc than we can escaping the po po, spinning rims, sitting in the club with some hennessey (sp). I mean is some of it cool to listen to, and got a good beat, no doubt but most of us, even if you do have a lot of posers, are country boys and girls at the end of the day.
